Highlights from this day
  • lean_mass_lex — i came off for four months, put 31 back on, and came back. no drama in it, just numbers 21:49
  • two_lifts_a_week — everybody i have seen stop and hold it did something else as well, without exception in my time here 22:02
  • blank_run — cost did not drop at maintenance for me because i went to a lower dose from the same vial and just used it slower 22:20
  • impersonator_ip — does anyone budget for maintenance being cheaper or is it the same $72 a month 22:52

dropping to a maintenance dose was uneventful for me and completely miserable for somebody i talk to weekly, take that with a pinch of salt

thats STEP 4

regain after stopping is the expected outcome, which is a horrible sentence and also what the data says, n of 1 obviously

there is no official maintenance dose. it is a thing we do because the alternative on the table was stopping

a 10mg vial at a 2mg maintenance dose is five weeks of doses, so my monthly cost roughly halved

stopped 11 months ago and put 24 back on, what did people do at that point

i weigh weekly at maintenance rather than daily and my range is about two kilos either side

slightly off topic but protein went up during maintenance for me rather than down, which was completely counterintuitive, thats one data point

everybody i have seen stop and hold it did something else as well, without exception in my time here

i put 23 back on after stopping and then went back on it. it worked the same the second time round

did your maintenance dose end up higher or lower than you expected it to

BR

slightly off topic but i went to every ten days at a low dose and it held for me. n of 1, and i keep saying that out loud

im holding at 12 for maintenance and wondering whether i should be lower

BR

cost did not drop at maintenance for me because i went to a lower dose from the same vial and just used it slower

am i the only one finding maintenance harder than losing was

if you find maintenance harder than the losing part you are in the majority in this room

BR

nobody here can tell you whether to stop. we can tell you what happened to us when we did

maintenance is harder than losing because there is no number going down to keep you interested
i dropped from 2.5 to 7.5 for maintenance and held steady for fourteen months

regain is expected

II

does anyone budget for maintenance being cheaper or is it the same $72 a month

BR

the maintenance conversation barely existed in here two years ago and now it is half the channel

ok so anyone gone off entirely and stayed off successfully

protein up not down

two or three kilos up and down is normal fluctuation. ten is a different conversation

CO

harder than losing

if i go back up after regain does it work the same the second time

the honest answer to is this forever is that nobody knows and the drug only works while you are taking it

appetite came back over about three weeks after i reduced, not all at once, which is what i had braced for
