Highlights from this day
  • fibre_first — a port stall is not the same as a customs hold and the tracking language usually distinguishes them i had a parcel marked returned that arrived eleven days later. it… 20:04
  • vienna_vial — the same address every time is fine. a different address every time looks worse, not better 20:20
  • vienna_vial — declared value, do you go low or realistic nobody here can tell you what will clear customs where you live and the mods stop that conversation quickly 20:23
  • cagri_curious — right so reship policies vary enormously. CPC honoured one for me without being pushed, which is not universal 21:16
  • fridge_thermo — is it worth paying for a faster service or does customs eat the difference 21:19

summer into a hot country is the risk. order in a cooler month if you have the choice

if you query a missing parcel, be factual and patient. the good suppliers respond to that

while im here the parcel is the risk you accepted. that is worth remembering before it becomes a crisis

the transit table is pinned and built from what members actually reported, not from what suppliers quote

thats a stock split

P2

parcel is sitting at a port with no movement, is that customs or just a port

a liquid cold pack tells you it was above freezing, not that the vial cooked. lyophilised powder is robust

how long is transit to Singapore running at the moment

EM

winter shipping into a cold country risks freezing, which is a different problem from heat and gets discussed less

how many parcels have people lost in total

FF

a port stall is not the same as a customs hold and the tracking language usually distinguishes them
i had a parcel marked returned that arrived eleven days later. it happens

💀5🙏8

split shipments arriving weeks apart is normal and is usually a stock thing, not a customs thing

FF

update from 14 months ago: Australia transit has got slower, consistently, across four orders

VV

the same address every time is fine. a different address every time looks worse, not better

📉6💀7⚠️11

nobody here can tell you what will clear customs where you live and the mods stop that conversation quickly

is vat charged on the declared value or what they think it is worth

what happened when you queried a missing parcel with the supplier

21 days to Ireland with working tracking the whole way is at the good end of what i have seen
if you query a missing parcel, be factual and patient. the good suppliers respond to that

vat is usually charged on declared value plus shipping, and the handling fee is often more than the vat

NP

i have lost 2 parcels in three years across a lot of orders. that is the actual rate for me, ymmv

CC

right so reship policies vary enormously. CPC honoured one for me without being pushed, which is not universal

is it worth paying for a faster service or does customs eat the difference

a seizure letter is usually the end of it. you have lost the parcel and that is almost always the whole consequence

FF

mine took 8 days
reship policies vary enormously. ERP honoured one for me without being pushed, which is not universal

tracking has been dark for 6 days, at what point do i worry

be patient with support
