  • per_mg_pete — the parcel is the risk you accepted. that is worth remembering before it becomes a crisis 12:34
  • is_this_forever — quick one vat is usually charged on declared value plus shipping, and the handling fee is often more than the vat 12:57

a port stall is not the same as a customs hold and the tracking language usually distinguishes them, ill dig out the number

👀5

mine took 18 days

PM

paying for a faster service does not speed up customs. it speeds up the legs either side of customs

PP

the transit table is pinned and built from what members actually reported, not from what suppliers quote

i have lost 5 parcels in three years across a lot of orders. that is the actual rate for me

IT

the same address every time is fine. a different address every time looks worse, not better

PM

a seizure letter is usually the end of it. you have lost the parcel and that is almost always the whole consequence

CO

tracking going dark for a week or ten days at a port is common and resolves on its own most of the time

IT

quick one vat is usually charged on declared value plus shipping, and the handling fee is often more than the vat
