The new year influx arrived and the welcome channel had its busiest fortnight to date. The first question is always the same and it is always about arithmetic. What changed this January is that the room had a reference page to point at, which cut the answering time from four messages to one and left more energy for the harder questions underneath.

What happened
- The single most asked question remains how many units a given dose is, and the single most given answer remains that one unit is 0.01ml.
- Newcomers were pointed at the reconstitution calculator before anybody argued with them, which made the fortnight noticeably calmer than last January.
- Several people arrived having already bought material without any idea what to check on arrival, and the channel built them a short list.
- The four day-one facts were repeated often enough that a member wrote them on a card and photographed it for the channel.
- A moderator moved eleven sourcing questions out of the compound channels in a single evening and did not complain about it.
