a scattered fortnight with nothing in the middle

No single subject dominated, which after three years is unusual enough to note. Fourteen channels had meaningful traffic and none of them had a lot. The archivists have gone for breadth here rather than pretending there was a theme, and the fortnight reads better that way. Several small things happened that will matter more later.

What happened

  • A newcomer confused milligrams with micrograms and was corrected within one message, which is the fastest recorded response to that particular error.
  • The tirzepatide channel revisited whether anybody needs to go past the middle of the ladder, and reached the same lack of agreement as always.
  • SURPASS-2 in NEJM 2021 was cited for the head-to-head comparison, with the usual caveat that it does not give you a conversion factor.
  • A gallbladder question, a sulphur burps question and a constipation question all arrived on the same day and were answered by the same three people.
  • Xi'an Mokemei and Hubei Jianxiang both came up in a price-per-milligram comparison that included shipping and therefore meant something.
  • The fridge thermometer joke reached its third anniversary and somebody posted a photograph of eleven of them.
