closer to the factories, no simpler at all
The Asia channel finally got busy, which took twenty months. The fortnight covered Japanese clinic pricing, Korean clinic culture, the expensive and entirely above-board Singapore route, and Indian generics. The founding lesson held up under all of it: proximity to manufacturing does not shorten transit, simplify customs or lower prices, and several members had the receipts.

What happened
- A member in Japan posted clinic pricing that made the European channel briefly stop complaining about its own.
- Singapore was described as expensive, entirely legitimate and completely uneventful, which the channel found almost disappointing.
- Indian generics were discussed carefully, with the room asking for independent testing rather than accepting price as evidence of anything.
- Two members reported longer customs holds within the region than members in Europe were seeing, which is the opposite of everybody expectation.
- GL Biochem came up as a synthesis house rather than a supplier to individuals, and the difference was explained for the newer members.
